About me

Hello there, I’m Jordan, a Person-Centred Counsellor offering a calm, caring space where you can explore whatever you’re carrying.

My own experience of therapy offered me a space to slow down, reflect, and explore my thoughts and feelings without judgement. It showed me the importance of being truly listened to - not just heard, but understood. This experience inspired me to train as a therapeutic counsellor, with the hope of offering others the same opportunity to feel supported, accepted, and empowered.

Alongside my counselling work, I am also a professional classical musician, performing across the UK and internationally. Years of working in music have deepened my ability to listen with attention, sensitivity, and presence - qualities I bring into every counselling relationship.

I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I am fully insured to practise and committed to maintaining high professional and ethical standards. I undertake regular CPD to keep my knowledge and skills up to date and to continually develop my practice. My practice is also supported through regular professional supervision - providing an important opportunity to reflect on my work, consider ethical and professional issues, and ensure that I continue to practise safely, thoughtfully and effectively.

Together, we can gently explore what you’re experiencing in a space where you can be yourself, without judgement. If you are considering counselling with me, it would be a privilege to walk alongside you and support you in exploring your own journey.

Speak in confidence

Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step - especially if you're used to managing things on your own. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure why things feel the way they do.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and you don’t have to face those challenges alone. I can offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can speak freely, without fear of judgement or pressure.

My approach

As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to offer advice or solutions, but to listen attentively with empathy, unconditional acceptance and genuine understanding with the aim of helping you develop greater self-awareness, build confidence and trust in yourself, finding your own path towards positive change.

Meaningful changes

Working together at your own pace, we can create a space where you feel heard, understood and empowered to make sense of your feelings and experiences, and move towards the changes that are meaningful to you.

What issues can counselling help with?

People come to counselling for many different reasons, and you don’t need to be in crisis to reach out.

I have experience supporting clients with a range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low mood
  • Low self-esteem
  • Stress
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Trauma

If what you’re experiencing isn’t listed above, please don’t let that put you off getting in touch. You’re welcome to contact me for an informal conversation about whether counselling with me could be right for you.

My location

I am based in Southport, within easy reach of Formby, Liverpool, Merseyside, Banks, Ormskirk, Burscough, Leyland, Chorley, Preston, East Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

In addition to providing face-to-face counselling in Southport, I also offer online and telephone sessions to people throughout the UK.

Fees & availability

Counselling sessions last 50 minutes to 1 hour and are arranged at a mutually agreed time that works for both of us. I understand that life can be busy, so I can offer flexibility around appointments.

Sessions are £45 each. I also offer a reduced fee for students and those on a low income. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss this.

Initial Consultation

Choosing the right counsellor is an important decision, which is why I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation, either by telephone or online. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little bit, talk about what has brought you to counselling, and for you to ask me any questions you may have. It also gives you a chance to get a feel for how I work, and to decide whether you could feel comfortable working together. There is absolutely no obligation to continue after this if it doesn’t feel like the right fit.

Payment & Cancellations

All payments are required to be paid by bank transfer.

Payment will be requested 48 hours in advance of your session time. I understand that sometimes plans need to change, so if you need to cancel or rearrange a session, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made less than 48 hours’ notice, or any missed appointments, will be charged at the full session fee.

Before We Begin

Before counselling starts, we will go through a counselling agreement together, which we will both sign. This explains how we will work together, and covers important information such as confidentially, its legal and ethical limits, and what you can expect from counselling with me.

You will also receive information about how your personal information will be stored and managed in line with GDPR legal and professional standards, helping you feel informed and confident about your privacy from the outset.

Get in touch

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial consultation. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.

You can also call or WhatsApp me on 07368 871421 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.

All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential.
